 ARC India Rally - FAQs

Q: What is an ARC India Rally?

A: ARC India Rally is a navigational / TSD nationwide car rally and also a  Premier Automotive Lifestyle Exotic Car Rally in India with a difference. We are also the largest Exotic Car Rally in India with a real time location and movement tracking based on GPS through our mobile app. On a typical rally, we drive together in participant-owned exotic cars from city to city hosting events at Top Restaurants, Hotels, and Nightclubs. A typical ARC India Rally stays only at 5-Star or best Hotels in the city. We create unique bucket list routes for drivers to experience the best roads our country has to offer.

Q: What makes you unique from other rallies?

A: We always strive to ensure we are in the Best Hotels in each city, choose the Best Nightclubs, and integrate with the best local events. Each and every rally vehicle will be fitted with our GPS Tracking Device before the start of the rally and will be removed at the end of the rally. Our service rally vehicle for breakdown service will also be fitted with GPS device so as to track the real time movements of the participants or service providers through mobile app. We are not here to make any profit, we are doing this for our national project and also tfor the safer Indian roads. Many people are introduced to exotic car rallies through ARC India Rally, and branch out to other events from there.

Q: Do I need to download any mobile app and if so then can I do so?

A: Yes. Once you make your payment in full, we will provide you a download able link to download our "GPS Trakcer Mobile App" and "GPS Monitor Mobile App". The gps tracker mobile app can be downloaded in the participants smartphone and the gps monitor mobile app can be dowloaded in the partcipants and the family members of the participants enabling them the access to monitor the real time location and movement of the participants during the entire rally. This facility has not yet provided by any other rally organizer in India.

Q: How useful is this GPS Tracking Device?

A: With this GPS tracking device, we can monitor the speed, stopping, parking, real time location and condition of the vehicle. It also provide us various alarm/alert for accident, geo fencing alert, and a call for help. A facility of SOS button (push button) provided in the vehicle allows the driver to call for a help.

Q: Is this ARC India Rally a race?

A: No. ARC India Rally is not a racing event, but it is a TSD competition, wherein participants are required to obey all traffic laws. It is not beneficial to be the first team at the destination, but timely reach at the finish spot and also a safest vehicle driver will be recognized.

Q: What kind of vehicle is required to join this rally?

A: While we do cater to the exotic community, we also allow sports cars and muscle cars on the rally at our discretion. Navigational rally is one of the few forms of motorsports that truly caters to almost any vehicle.

Q: Is any sort of special equipment required?

A: Your car will need a working odometer/trip meter naturally, the one in your dash should be sufficient. Make sure you discuss at the beginning of the rally whether it will be the driver or navigator who is responsible for resetting the trip meter as it will need to be done several times over the course of the rally. (If the driver is to be responsible the navigator should make sure to let them know when to do it!).

The navigator will require some simple items:

  • Digital clock (With second indication)
  • Writing implement
  • Writing surface
  • Calculator
  • Depending on the rally lighting may be required for night stages

Your vehicle should have some simple checks/equipment as well:

  • Check the car over for general road safety, properly inflated tires, clear windows etc. Essentially the same checks you would make for a long trip.
  • A full tank of fuel. Some rallies can be hundreds of kilo meters long.
  • Check the condition of your spare tire and jack
  • Basic safety equipment is always a good idea, warning triangles, emergency blankets, fire extinguisher & First Aid kit.

Q: Do you have to wrap your car to participate on the rally?

A: It is highly encouraged. We feel that cars that are wrapped are more into the rally spirit, and also help grab more attention, benefitting the owner, the rally, and our sponsors.

Q: Is there anything I should do or bring on the rally?

A: Come ready to have Fun! This is your vacation after all! Helpful items include costumes, a day bag you can fit in your car, snacks, and team souvenirs for fans we encounter along the way. Many teams have created T-Shirts, Key chains, and other fun giveaways for the Rally!

Q: I want to see the Rally Cars, do you host Public Events?

A: On any given rally we have community events, such as cars and coffee, exotic car parades, fundraisers, exotic drag racing, race tracks, and more that we have on our itinerary. Also make sure to check out our facebook page for Public Exotic Car Event postings. In addition, a schedule of public events will be posted on the ARC India Rally website 2 weeks before the event. You may also come visit us at the Hotels where we stop, many of them are listed on our event pages. Please note: We cannot guarantee arrival times at hotels, but most days end 1-2 hours before sunset with the exception of special events.

Q: Is ARC India Rally a Charity Event? How does it benefit the local community?
A: While we are a NGO, and we are promoting road safety awareness and also conducting this event for our national project (setting up of chain of ARCs on major highways across India). In addition to our charitable work, our stops bring us to both rural and urban environments. We give an instant boost to local businesses by bringing high-income individuals to local restaurants, hotels, nightlife, and of course gas stations, boosting local business and tax revenues.

Q: Are Deposits Refundable?

A: Deposits are Non-Refundable. If payment is not made by the due date your spot may be forfeited.

Q: What is the average length of a ARC India Rally?

A: 9-11 Days.

Q: Why are you less expensive than other Exotic Car Rallies? Will I miss something other rallies offer?

A: As the largest exotic car rally in India, we are able to create incredible value for our participants by being able to negotiate better deals due to our scale, cause and sponsors. Therefore, we are less expensive than other rallies and in some cases a third of the cost per rally night. We are car enthusiasts at heart, and ARC India Rally Team does not put on events as a primary source of income. In many cases we simply break even. We offer most if not all experiences a more expensive rally has to offer, and in most cases provide a better experience. Simply speaking, we don’t need to be the most expensive car rally to offer the best rally experience.

Q: I am an Automotive Journalist or Local Media. How can I cover ARC India Rally?

A: Send us an email describing who you work for, and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible. We have accommodated many Journalists on our rallies.
