Planting Trees We are promoting tree planting, and planting trees is a labour-and capital -intensive activity, and the overall cost base in India is a challenge for us. Before trees can be planted, a substantial amount of upfront work is being done by us. From the identification of land to site preparation, survey of endemic plants species and planting, longoing control, management and care of planting spot/site is being well ensured. We are doing the plantation in the cities, highways, public places, forest land, and also distributing tree saplings to individuals to plant at private farms/places. We also engage locals, students, farmers, and volunteers to plant trees and they take care of the trees as well. We also provide inputs to farmers and encourage them for reforestation by planting trees (native species) at the unused sections of thier farms and supporting them. We identify the tree planting spots and then seek necessary permissions from the local city municipal authorities and all other concern state and national authorities. We are having a strong network of NGOs nation wide and also volunteers network and it is increasing day by day. We do plantation on daily basis, but we prefer to do it in the weekends because during weekends our most of the volunteers are able to come forward with us. We provide necessary training to our volunteers to plant trees and planting trees that includes banyan, almond, pomegranate, rosewood, cherry, neem, silver oak, teak, poplar, mandarai, gauva, nilgiri, mango & blackberry amongst other local tree species etc. We are planting trees with proper tree planting techniques, please click here to view our tree plantation. We prefer to plant tree sapling of minimum 5 feet of heights and above, and of 2 to 3 years of age, and are planting trees at various locations. You can support us by planting trees on your name, your beloved name, your employee name or in memory of your loved ones who died (just to keep their memories alive). You can also adopt a tree to support a farmer for rural livilihood. The adopted tree will not be cut and we will give you tree adoption certificate. Tree planting is not only helping bring back rare indigenous species but also increasing green cover. Our massive tree plantation drive which is a greening movement, an ambitious goal and a special movement by the people, for the people and of the people. It is largely endorsed by individuals, corporate and government. Join our Green Squad Network - GSN. The tree sapling and technical expertise (sapling and soil conditions) we procure from forest department, private nurseries and also from our own nurseries to be established very soon as we have identified the sources for saplings. We collect the details of land availability, potential species of trees in the local area and type of soil etc to prepare our plan for a specific area and region for tree plantation. Please click here to join us ....... as a tree planter.
Our other initiattive of restoring water resources and waste to energy projects are underway. We also encourage tree planting request online. You can make a request online and we will arrange to plant on your behalf. Click here to make a request online for tree planting. Watering Trees Our network NGOs, our volunteers and also local public are actively engaged in taking care of tree plants. We seek sponsors participations to come forward and sponsor these activities to keep engaging the locals too for this mega venture. Land Identification Between 1880 and 2013 India lost about 40% of its forest cover. Today, only 24% of its area is under forests, according to government data. The government of India announced in COP21 its long-term goal to bring 33% of India’s geographical area under forest cover by 2030 and also to create an additional carbon sink of 2.5 to 3 billion tons of CO2 equivalent through additional forest and tree cover by the same time.
State government forest departments, corporate organizations, educational institutes, NGOs, even individuals coming forward to plant.
